I've had a lot of interesting experiences while taking pictures for this class. A lot of the time, we had to go out and take pictures around the school during class. It was definitely awkward to say the least. To take a good picture, we had to do some crazy poses and angling. This obviously brought on some crazy stares, but by the end of it, I learned not to care what other people thought and just focus on my work. For example, the photo below was quite awkward to take in front of people. This year, I had learned a whole lot about taking pictures. Looking back on the first day of school when I walked into the class with no knowledge of how camera or photoshop worked, I looked silly. Even on the very first day of this class I walked out with more knowledge then I came in with. And I definitely learned a whole lot more throughout the trimester. Overall, this class has been amazing and I'd love to take another one. Next are my worst and best photos of this year, and hopefully you will be able to tell the difference. WORST PHOTO: BEST:

For this assignment, we were told to take a picture of our teacher, Mr. Bush, while he rode by on his bike. The goal was to make the background appear blurry and Mr. Bush appear clear. One method I learned while shooting these photos, is that you have to follow the subject from where they are coming from (left to right o right to left) and take the picture in the middle. This method is called panning.
For this assignment, we had to take several pictures of the same person and put them all into the same picture. One thing I learned while shooting this assignment is that it makes it a lot harder to edit if people are overlapping in your pictures. The overall product turned out great and I'm very happy with it.
For this shoot I decided to shoot animals. The day I shot was a beautiful day outside, so I took my cat and dog and shot some photos. Overall, this shoot was not as difficult as I assumed it would be, my pets cooperated a lot more than I expected. I had a lot of fun with this shoot and I think my final products turned out very nice. BEST PHOTO: Exposure Triangle:
For this assignment, we got to pick a photoshop tutorial to do. I picked one where you had to blend a mans face and a forest into one photograph. I had a lot of fun with this assignment and would love to do it again.
For this assignment, we had to take pictures of a part of the school and make it seem like something crazy or unrealistic is happening there. I took a picture of the gym and cropped in a basketball player, bugs bunny, and a scary clown.
For this weeks assignment, I shot around the subject still life. I shot many different subjects like wood, sports equipment, and some other things around my yard. Something I learned while shooting this assignment was that when your shooting still life you can easily manipulate the object more than with a lot of other subjects. Best Photo: Exposure Triangle:
In this assignment, we had to shoot 3 picture and bring the together to create one big panoramic. What I learned while shooting this is to not move too far or too little when transitioning between two photos. Also I learned that a tripod is very important when shooting these so that the pictures are all level. For this assignment, I chose to shoot in back and white. Something I learned while editing these photos was that some things look a lot better in black and white. Another thing I learned was the when editing into black and white you have to be careful not to make a picture too dark. Best Photo: Exposure Triangle:
For this picture the only editing I did was turning it black and white and lightening up the shadows. For this assignment, we had to use different light settings to take good portraits of people our school. We took one with a studio setup with lights (right), and one using light from a window (left).
